Sport Sector: 3rd 2023 Traditional Chinlone Competition

The 3rd 2023 Traditional Chinlone Competition for the trophy of Chairman of the Myanmar Traditional Chinlone Federation kicked off on Tuesday at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.

Yangon Region Advocate-General U Htay Aung, in his capacity as Chairman of the Yangon Region Sports and Physical Education Committeeexpressed belief that everyone will accept that the Myanmar people and the art of playing Chinlone cannot be separated at all. All must continue to preserve this traditional sport.

Now, Chinlone is played not only in Asia, but also in the western part of the world with interest, the Chairman added. This 3rd 2023 Tradition Chinlone Competition for the trophy of Chairman of the Myanmar Traditional Chinlone Federation is set to be held for four days from 26 to 29 December. About 210 athletes from various regions and states have been competing in the event, and the first, second and third prizes will be awarded.
