Sport Sector: 2nd round of qualifying endurance competition

As preparations are underway to include equestrian sport in the 33rd SEA Games to be hosted by Thailand in 2025, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs held the second round of qualifying endurance competition at the Equestrian Stadium in Ottarathiri Township as preparations for the upcoming SEA Games.

Union Minister U Min Thein Zan and many other officials enjoyed the competition and called on concerned officials to coordinate with equestrian clubs in states and regions for the further development of equestrian sport and to make an all-out effort to enable equestrian athletes from Myanmar to compete in international invitational competitions.

11 athletes participated in the 55-km and 70-km events of this second round of qualifying endurance competition. Certificates were presented to the qualified athletes. It’s reported that the Myanmar Equestrian Federation will hold more qualifying endurance competitions.
