Sport activities: Mon State CM enjoyed friendly football match

Friendly match between State level departmental football team and Southeast Command team was held at the football stadium in Mawlamyine on 2nd June.

The event is aiming to conduct the sport actvities and to develop the Sports sector in Mon State. Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Commander of Southeast Command, State Ministers and Footballs fun enjoyed the event.

First, the State Chief Minister gave a speech and then students from the Institute of Sports and Physical Education presented the bunches of flowers to the athletes after introducing section.

Next, the State Chief Minister and Commander cordially greeted the athletes individually.  At the match, Southeast Command team beat the State level departmental football team with (5-3).

On 3rd June, Monsoon Tree Plantation Ceremony 2023 was held at the Sub BEHS, No. 6 BEMS in Mawlamyine with the attendance of State Chief Minister, Southwest Command Commander, departmental officials, teachers and students.

In his speech, the State Chief Minister urged all to establish the manageable scale tree plantation, to reduce the use of firewood and charcoal, and to avoid the matters that cause deforestations.

Then, the State Chief Minister, Commander and State ministers planted the hard wood saplings and viewed the tree plantation.

In 2023-2024 FY, it is estimated to plant 300,000 saplings in the townships of Mon State, according to the Forest Department.
