Spectacular fire in the North of Paris

A significant fire occurred on Monday at the Syctom waste sorting center located in Paris's 17th arrondissement. The blaze originated in the basement, rapidly spreading throughout the facility and producing thick black smoke visible across the city. 

Approximately 200 firefighters, supported by 60 engines and aerial platforms, were deployed to combat the fire. All 31 employees present at the time were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. 

The incident prompted authorities to advise residents to stay indoors due to concerns about toxic smoke and potential structural collapses.
