


Yangon Central Railway Station provided special train service for Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw route on the last day of Thadingyut holidays.
The special up train of Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw route left Yangon Railway Station at 8:00 pm on Tuesday for the public especially for the civil servants who had to go back to their work places. Althugh there are normally two up and down train services for this route, Myanmar Railways provided the extended service for Thadingyut holidays as a special.
Yangon Central Railway Station, Regional Assistant Manager, Mya Kyaing said “The regular trains for this route run on Friday and Sunday every week. But we extened the special train service for today. And we also extended three carriages for the speical trains for the sake of passengers with original prices for each type of classes.”
The Myanmar Railways provided the special train services of Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon and Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw route, Yangon-Bagan route, Yangon-Mandalay and Mandaly-Yangon route for those who are going home from different parts of the country during Thadingyut holidays.
Passenger, Aung Min said “I am the civil servant from Nay Pyi Taw. I came Yangon with highway bus but the return bus tickets to Nay Pyi Taw is hard to get because everyone has to go back for work tomorrow. That’s why, my family chooses to ride train even though it takes more time than the bus route. It’s really great and convenient for the public especially the civil servents like me.”
Myanmar Railways is planning to run the special train service for coming Tazaung Taing holidays.
