Spanish police release video of new 'megadrone'

Spanish police in Madrid on Monday released footage of a new "mega drone" being trialed by its officers. While drones are normally unmanned, this model is capable of carrying two passengers, weights 600 kilos and can travel up to 130 kilometres per hour.

The national police say it can be deployed into areas where a normal helicopter cannot enter or into areas where there has been a chemical threat. Spanish police believe that tests made last week were the first by a European police force of this type of drone. This EH216 drone is made by EHang whose headquarters are in China.
