Spanish PM Sanchez visits Chinese Academy of Sciences

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on Monday and calls for more cooperation between China and Europe in the sciences.

During the visit, Sánchez said he gained an in-depth understanding of the major scientific and technological innovations achieved by CAS in recent years and held discussions with representatives of scientists working in fields such as optical astronomy, synchrotron radiation, space science, embodied intelligence and intelligent breeding.

He noted that CAS is a world-renowned research institution with outstanding achievements in science and technology as well as education and talent cultivation. Sanchez begun his three-day visit to Beijing where he hopes to strengthen economic ties.
