A Soyuz spacecraft carrying a military satellite launched from Russia's northern cosmodrome in Plesetsk on Wednesday.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket proceeded normally. The ministry said the satellite then entered into orbit successfully.
