





142nd Myanmar's South Sea Pearl Emporium kicked off its inaugural event at the ManiYadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, with the attendance by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Also present at the ceremony were the Council's Joint Secretary Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo, along with other Council members, Union Ministers, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, high-ranking military officials from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, departmental representatives, Myanmar Pearl Enterprise officials, and both local and international pearl entrepreneurs.
First, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the attendees watched a video clip showcasing South Sea pearl production worldwide, Myanmar's pearl production and sales and preparations for the Myanmar South Sea Pearl Emporium.
Following that, the Senior General and party toured the showrooms displaying pearl and gem lots for sale and heard briefings by Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi and other concerned officials.The Emporium, held from August 12th to 16th, will display 175,000 South Sea pearls and 700 pearl and gem lots, all available through open tender system.
