Some local radio stations in the Gaza Strip have resumed broadcasting after a suspension of nearly two years due to the war, in a move reflecting gradual efforts to revive the media landscape in the enclave, which has suffered extensive destruction to infrastructure and civilian institutions.

Among these stations, Zaman FM has recently returned to the air using limited technical capabilities, operating from its damaged headquarters, where staff continue working from within the rubble amid severe shortages of equipment and essential resources.

Local radio remains critically important in Gaza as humanitarian crises persist, electricity outages continue, and access to traditional media remains difficult. This makes radio broadcasting one of the most effective channels for public awareness, health guidance, and service-related information.
