Softtech DTH : Myanmar’s fifth licensed television service provider

Myanmar’s fifth licensed television service provider “Softtech DTH” officially launched its platform on Friday. The Launching ceremony was held in Yangon, in conjunction with its press conference.

Softtech Chief Executive Officer Mr. Phanuwat Phongsuwankul and Director U Khin Maung Than briefed the media on the platform and the company’s plans. The launching ceremony featured an introductory video, followed by a welcome remark from the Softtech CEO.

Speeches were then delivered by Director General of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) U Ye Naing, and Chairman of the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Association, former Thai Ambassador Mr. Pisanu Suvannajata. This was followed by the launching of the platform through a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.

Softtech’s CEO later presented the platform’s broadcasting services, live TV audience and future plans for OTT, content distribution and digital services. Softtech Platform has more than 20 years of experience in satellite television systems, broadcasting technology and related services.

Its platform aims to build an integrated media ecosystem for viewers, broadcasters and business partners by combining satellite broadcasting, audience measurement, professional installer development and future digital services.
