Social Welfare: Visit to the school and center for social care

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win on 28th February, visited Kyimyindaing School for the Blinds, and oversaw the teaching process to the students with vision impairment.

The school provides primary education through Braille Letter to 111 vision impaired students of aged between 6 and 18. Once the primary education was completed, they have opportunities to continue their studies for middle and high school levels and higher education level through inclusive education program.

Moreover, vocational training courses are being conducted at the school in cooperation with Japan Heart, while encouraging to engage in various activities including Blind Chess and Goal Ball, as well as playing musical instruments. The Union Minister later visited ShweGonDaing Child Care Center and provided the needs.

The center provides caring service to the children from their infant till they reached 10 years of age. The Union Minister stressed the need to provide systematic caring works for the children to develop both mentally and physically healthy.
