Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Win Myat Aye visited youth training center in Mawlamyine on Sunday. The Union Minister gave nutritious snacks and toys to the children in the center.
He also visited the center for women who need special care and held talks with the women and gave words of encouragement.
The Union Minister also attended a meeting with parents of pre school students and those from mother’s circles. He stressed the ministry’s efforts for children, importance of early childhood care and early childhood intervention.
The attendees reported on opening of more nursery schools, appointment of more teachers and public participation – the Union Minister and officials coordinated the facts presented.
The Union Minister also visited Aloat Village of Paung Township and held talks with the villagers on Early Childhood Intervention. He also paid a visit to Early Childhood Intervention Center in the village. The Early Childhood Intervention service system is to improve child development, achieve human and disability rights, increase national workforce productivity, and reduce future costs for health, nutrition and remedial education.
