Social Welfare Services: Health treatment provided to the insured workers

The Social Security Board provided medical treatment service to a total of 207 staff members under the Ministry of Labour by a mobile medical unit on Thursday.

Union Minister U MyintNaung observed the activities including medical treatments, laboratory tests, ECG tests. The Social Security Board has been implementing the Social Security Scheme and as of May 2024, there are more than 1.2 million insured workers.

Medical  services have been provided to those insured workers at 3 social security hospitals, 96 Township Social Welfare Clinics, 61 department clinics, 66 contract clinics, 45 contract clinics for Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Treatment (Specialist OG OPD), 15 contract hospitals and delivery room, and 1 traditional medicine clinic.

The health care services will be provided to the insured workers from the government departments in Nay Pyi Taw from 20th June to 6th August. Moreover, the field medical services will also be provided at the industrial zones in Yangon and Bago Regions.
