Social Welfare: MOSWRR Union Minister meets UNICEF delegation

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win received a delegation led by Mr. Marcoluigi Corsi, Resident Representative to Myanmar from United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) at the Ministry on Thursday.

Both sides frankly and cordially discussed about the collaborative efforts of the Ministry and UNICEF on child protection, social care services and raising mine awareness.

They also discussed the tasks being undertaken by Nation-wide Case Management Supervision Unit, the social policy signed between the UNICEF and Department of Social Welfare, implementation on child protection and early childhood development programs, information transparency between the Ministry and UNICEF, Psycho-Social Support, entry visas issues for foreign employees of UNICEF and the catering for domestic travel, tasks to be implemented and promotion of cooperation between the ministry and UNICEF.
