


On August 9, members of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC) conducted an inspection of the School for Children with Disabilities located in Mayangone Township, Yangon Region. This inspection was carried out in accordance with Sections 43 and 44 of the Commission Law.
The inspection team assessed various aspects of the school's environment to ensure that the fundamental rights of the disabled children are being met. This included evaluating the availability of healthcare services, food supply, purified drinking water, the condition of classrooms, and the quality of training provided.
The team also examined the provisions made for the physical, intellectual, and character development of the children, as well as the preparations for their continued education. The MNHRC will compile its findings and recommendations and submit them to the relevant departments in accordance with MNHRC regulations for necessary actions.
