Social Security :Issuance of benefits to insured workers

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung on Wednesday addressed a ceremony to issue benefits to insured workers within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory in line with the 2012 Social Security Law.

In his address, the Union Minister said that there are 26,565 insured workers within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory and over 1.2 million in regions and states. He also highlighted the motto of the Social Security Board “One for all, All for one” covering healthcare services, maternity, death, injury at work and medical treatment after retirement for all insured workers.

The Social Security Board is working to provide better services that will adapt to the times, the Union Minister added. In this ceremony, 14 insured workers within the Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory received over 24 million Kyats.
