Social Security Benefits: Assistance for insured workers in Shan State

The Ministry of Labour provided 40% of social security benefits to the insured workers affected by the flood, caused by Typhoon Yagi in Shan State. The provision also covered for those with disabilities due to worksite accidents. Deputy Minister U Win Shane attended the ceremony, held at the Community Hall in Taunggyi on January 17th.

During the ceremony, over 20 million kyat cash assistance were provided for 230 flood affected insured workers from 40 places. In addition, over 10 million kyats compensation for disability benefits and over 13 million kyat for family benefits were provided for worksite accidents.
