Social Pension Provision: Chief Minister Meets Elderly Individuals in Sittwe

An event for providing social pensions to 202 elderly individuals aged 85 and above in Sittwe Township for the first and second quarters of the 2025-2026 fiscal year was held at the Khine Thazin Hall on the morning of November 11.

There, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and other responsible officials cordially greeted those who came to receive their social pensions. They then observed and encouraged the staff from the Department of Social Welfare and the Myanma Economic Bank as they carried out the necessary verification procedures for the pension disbursement.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials went around, observing and encouraging the social pension disbursement to the elderly aged 85 and above, and coordinated with the responsible officials regarding any necessary arrangements. Following this, State Chief Minister and officials presented rice and food supplies provided by the Rakhine State Government to the elderly individuals aged 85 and above.
