Social Assistance: Repatriation of distressed migrant worker

The Myanmar Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, orchestrated the repatriation of a distressed Myanmar citizen, Ma Aye Aye Paing, after negotiations with local authorities.

Ma Aye Aye Paing found herself in dire circumstances, grappling with hardships and strained relations with her employer in Riyadh. The embassy provided accommodation and worked on a diplomatic mission to secure the Exit Permit through negotiation with local officials. On the 21st of May, Ma Aye Aye Paing departed Riyadh and arrived back in Yangon on the 22nd via Muscat and Bangkok.
