Soccer fans enjoy World Cup tour in Mexico

Soccer fans in Mexico spent their Sunday admiring the World Cup trophy as it continued its tour around the globe ahead of the 2022 tournament in Qatar. The trophy was on display at an exhibition in the borough of Iztapalapa in Mexico City and attracted fans of all ages.

The World Cup tour, which kicked off in May in Dubai, is also set to make stops in Monterrey and Guadalajara before continuing on its journey ahead of the tournament which begins on November 20.

The appearance of the trophy has thrilled fans and brought World Cup fever to Mexico's major cities. From Sunday through Tuesday, Mexico City's most populous neighborhood will host the six-kilogram trophy displayed in a glass case. After leaving Mexico, the tour will continue to Brazil.
