The re-imposition of United Nations sanctions could prompt more Iranian citizens to leave their country. An agency in Tehran files visa applications on behalf of clients eager to move abroad. Officials at the firm said the number of inquiries jumped more than five-fold after Israel and the United States attacked Iran in June.

The agency reported it receives up to 1,600 inquiries a day. The official also noted that the number of people who cannot obtain visas is expected to increase. He says that is because nations cannot afford to accept many immigrants from Iran.
