After Tatmadaw regained control of the Loikaw–Moebye–Phekhon–Pinlaung road from KNPP, KNDF, and PDF forces on July 11, the route has reopened for public travel. Government staff and Tatmadaw personnel are working to restore normalcy for local residents.
On Thursday, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung and senior military officers visited the area to oversee relief activities. At Phekhon, they provided food, supplies, and support to civil servants and security forces. They also inspected hospital cleaning efforts in Moebye and supported reopening plans.
The Chief Minister and party also visited church and monasteries, donating offertories, and cash assistance. In addition, they viewed the road clearing operations on the Phekhon–Pinlaung route to ensure smooth transportation.
