Smooth Transportation: Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) construction project

The Ministry of Construction is dedicated to ensuring smooth transportation in hilly areas of the country.

Currently, the construction of the Chindwin Bridge (Htamanthi) is underway, connecting Homalin District in Sagaing Region with the Naga Self-Administered Zone. Situated on the Pinma -Htamanthi -Leshe -Pansat -Swamara road, the bridge spans the Chindwin River. It is a reinforced concrete bridge with a length of 801 meters, a height of 40 feet, and a width of 388 feet.

The project commenced in January 2021, and currently, the construction of the bridge and approach roads is in progress.

The bridge will fulfill the essential needs of the local people for regional development and transportation. The construction works for the bridge are being carried out based on yearly budget allocations, and efforts are being made to complete the project as soon as possible, meeting the set standard.
