






Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Thursday welcomed South Korean President Moon Jae-in to Cairo with an honour guard ceremony. Egypt is the last leg of Moon's Mideast tour, during which he made stops in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates earlier this week. El-Sissi and Moon presided over the signing of a number of agreements in various sectors.
During a joint press conference, el-Sissi spoke about creating the right environment to attract South Korean investments across various fields in Egypt. Moon talked about Egypt's support for a quick return to dialogue the Korean Peninsula to reach peace between the two Koreas.
Officials at a South Korean-Egyptian roundtable discussed green-friendly transportation and the possibility of manufacturing electric cars in Egypt for export purposes.
