S.Korea-U.S. summit set for August 25

President Lee Jae Myung will visit the United States from August 24 to 26 at the invitation of President Donald Trump. Their first summit is scheduled on the 25th.

The upcoming trip will be a working visit centered on the summit meeting and an official welcome ceremony. The summit at the White House will be followed by a working luncheon. Depending on further coordination, more schedules between the two leaders could be arranged. Given Trump’s keen interest in shipbuilding cooperation, the two could visit a local shipyard that a Korean firm has taken over.
