





National Skills Standards Authority (NSSA) on Thursday held its work coordination meeting at the hall of the Ministry of Labour in Nay Pyi Taw.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Minister U Win Shein said that NSSA approved91 skill standards at 70 kinds of jobs for skill development process. Starting form 2024, the NSSA approved 866examiners, 102 inspectors, 275 inspection and evaluation departments and 26,969 skillful workers for 52 jobs.
NSSA is making efforts for skill enhancement of job seekers to meet the needs of the labour market, promote job-related skills and create job opportunities, and to fulfill the needs of skillful workers in labour market. Starting from 2019, NSSA issued approval certificates to 19 training schools.
To be able to participate in ASEAN Skills Competition hosted by Philippines in 2025, the Deputy Minister made instructions on selecting and conducting training on 6 job industries such as Information and Communication, Manufacturing and Engineering, Construction and Building Technology, Social and Personal Services, Creative Arts and Fashion and Transportation and Logistics.
Then, the attendees made discussion on successful implementation of NSSA’s skill enhancement processes by collaborating with entrepreneurs, getting access to work-appropriate curriculum, opening training courses continuously and issuing certificate of approval to workers by cooperation with public, private and partnership.
