Sixth Meeting of Sangha: 8th State Central Working Committee of Sangha

The 6th meeting of the 8th State Central Working Committee of Sangha was held at Maha Pasana Cave in Yangon on Friday. Chairman Sayadaw Dr. Badhanda Sandhima Bhivamsa delivered an Ovada Ghada, followed by the submission of religious matters by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin.

The meeting recorded the demise of the State Ovada Ceriya Sayadaws, State Sangha Maha Nayaka Sayadaws, and State Central Working Committee member Sayadaws during the one-year period from Tabaung of 1384 to 1385 Myanmar Era.

Approval for the substituted members was also made during the meeting. The reports of work undertakings of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee during the one-year period were also submitted during the first day of the meeting.
