Singaporean Prime Minster visits Malaysia

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Wednesday received a two-day courtesy visit from his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong at the Seri Perdana Complex. The two leaders subsequently held a four-point meeting for almost two hours to discuss Malaysia-Singapore bilateral relations.

In the Joint Media Conference held after the meeting, Anwar said that Malaysia–Singapore is committed to ensuring ASEAN functions effectively and focuses on facing new challenges. Wong’s working visit underscores Malaysia-Singapore’s shared commitment in bolstering the long-standing relations and as preparation for the Annual Leaders’ Retreat to be hosted by Malaysia end of this year.
