Signing Ceremony : Establishing TISCs at research institutes and universities

A signing ceremony for agreements to establish Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) at research institutes and universities was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn attended the occasion, and stressed that the centers will help improve access to technology information, promote innovation, strengthen intellectual property (IP) protection, and support the development of marketable products based on research and inventions.

Myanmar launched its first TISC program in 2019 in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization. At the latest ceremony, memorandums of understanding were signed with five government departments and 30 universities to expand the network.
