Significant Occasion: Celebrations of Tazaungdaing Festival

In Yangon, Shwedagon Pagoda was crowded with pilgrims, performing good deeds on the full moon day of Tazaungmone. In the morning, the Pagoda Board of Trustees offered non-stale robes to the Buddha images, along with the offering of alms, flowers, water, fruits, oil lamps and fragrance.

Likewise, the religious ceremonies were held at prominent pagodas in Yangon Region including Botahtaung Kyaik Day Eat Paogoda, Thiri Mingala KabaAye Pagoda, Maha Wizaya, Sule and Tooth Relic Pagodas, Lawka Chan Tha Abaya Laba Muni Buddha Image, Shwe Phone Pwint, Kyaikkasan and Maelamu Pagodas.

 In Mandalay, residents organized non-stale robes offering ceremonies and Kathina Robes Offering Ceremonies at the pagodas, temples and monasteries across the city. Likewise, the prominent pagodas and recreation areas were crowded with visitors from far and near. Well-wishers also donate charity feasts to all-comers, reflecting the generosity of Myanmar people
