Sightseeing tour: SAC members and Union Ministers toured around Myitkyina

The members of the State Administration and Union Ministers who attended honoring the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Kachin State Day which fell on January 10, 2023, visited the prominent places in Myitkyina and Wai Maw and office of Kachin artistes federation central committee and coordinated for the development and success in art works of the Kachin artistes in the morning on January 11.

First, the SAC members U Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Sai Lone Sai, U Maung Har and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers, Kachin State Chief Minister, Commander of Northern Command, deputy ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers, chief justice of state high court and state ministers visited Yahandar TaHtaung Shin Pin Myat Swer Wishes Fulfilling Pagoda located on the Shwe Moe Hill near the bank of Ayeyarwady River in Mai Nar Village of Wai Maw Township.

The Yahandar TaHtaung Shin Pin Myat Swer Wishes Fulfilling Pagoda was paid homage and offered flowers, water and lamps paid respect the pagoda waling in clockwise direction, and they signed on the guest book of the pagoda and offered cash donations for the pagoda’s all-round renovation works.

Next, they visited Karing Naw resort located at the bank of Ayeyarwady River in Mankhein Ward in Myitkyina Township and viewed the board of images of Duwa Karing Naw (Member of Parliament, Kachin Ethnic parliament) who founded the refuge.

Then, they cordially met with the rector, pro-rector and professors/heads of departments, viewed the cleaning and greening and the flower plants planted at the traffic islands along the main road of the university and coordinated with the union minister for sports and youth affairs to provide sports wares and facilitated items.

 Afterward, the SAC members, Union Ministers, chief ministers, commander and senior Tatmadaw officers, chief justice of state high court, state ministers and officials visited Manaw ground in Sita-pu Ward, cordially greeted with the chairman of officials of Myanmar Kachin national races culture association and posed for documentary photo in front of Manaw mansion and in the Maw ground.

They also visited the office of Kachin artistes’ federation central committee, met with the chairman of Kachin artistes association Director JZ Daung Lwum and officials and the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn discussed to produce documentaries on Kachin State’s scenic beauties, traditions and customs of national races and stories depicted the pride of the state, coordinated to turn out the new generation ethnic artistes and provided cash assistance.

In the afternoon, the SAC members, Union Ministers left Nan Paung Airport by Tatmadaw special flight and the state chief minister and wife, commander and wife, senior Tatmadaw officers and wives, chief justice of the state high court and wife, state ministers and wives, state level departmental officials and national races cultural committees saw off at the airport, it’s learnt.
