Shwegu Flood: Some Houses In Shwegu Township Inundated

Some houses in No.4 ward in Shwegu, Bhamo District, Kachin State were flooded because of Ayeyawady River surging on Thursday morning and rescue works were being undertaken by Shwegu Township Fire Service Department and officials.

 8 affected households from No.4 ward were displaced to safer place.

Due to Ayeyawady River rising in Shwegu Township, 51 households were evacuated from 11th to 23rd July and the flood affected people have been temporarily accommodated in the monasteries, according to Information and Public Relations Department.
