Shan State Tour: Agricultural development and infrastructure inspection

On September 2nd, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Min Naung, together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, made an inspection of the Pwint Kaung and Khin Nwet Yi Company Limited's coffee garden in Yat Sauk Township, where officials provided updates on land utilization, investment, and the production process.

The Union Minister emphasized adherence to existing farmland laws and regulations, emphasized the need to enhance the production of high-quality coffee, and discussed opportunities for promoting exports and addressing technological requirements.

Then, the Union Minister and party proceeded to observe the thriving coffee and macadamia plantations. They then proceeded to the construction site of the Keng Kham multi-purpose dam project on Namt Eak Creek, near Keng Kham Village.

Officials presented progress reports and future plans for the project. The Union Minister stressed the importance of close supervision to ensure the project's completion within the designated timeframe and meeting the set standards.

They also inspected the ongoing dam construction and hydropower plant. Afterwards, the Union Minister and party visited the Namt Lat Orchard under the Agriculture Department in Taunggyi. They assessed research initiatives and initiatives aimed at promoting Good Agriculture Practices. They also inspected a grape plantation in the Ayethaya Industrial Zone, intended for wine production.
