Sevastopol celebrates Defender of Fatherland Day

Fireworks lit up the night sky over Sevastopol Bay in Crimea on Thursday as events were held to celebrate Defender of the Fatherland Day. Spectators watched from Seaside Boulevard near the monument to the Sunken Ships. Thirty salute shots were also fired on Thursday evening in Sevastopol. The rounds were fired from the north side of the city toward Sevastopol Bay.
