Seoul residents express regret over mayor's death

Seoul residents on Friday expressed shock and regret over the sudden death of the city's mayor. Park Won-soon, one of South Korea's most prominent elected officials and mayor of the capital Seoul since 2011, was found dead on early Friday. He was reported missing by his daughter amid a criminal search and media reports of alleged sexual harassment. Police confirmed a criminal complaint had been made against Park but did not elaborate on the nature of the allegations. The first vice mayor for administrative affairs will take Park's place as an acting mayor.
