Senegal President inaugurates bus network designed to ease traffic woes

Senegal's President Macky Sall inaugurated a network of 100% electric buses, designed to transform public transport and reduce emissions in the West African nation’s traffic jammed capitalin Dakar.
The Bus Rapid Transport, which cost around 640 million euros and received financial support from the World Bank and the UN, aims to carry 300,000 passengers a day and halve journey times via a system of buses running on dedicated lanes.
