Seminar on anti-corruption: SagaingRegion Government & ACC jointly conduct

An educative seminar on anti-corruption jointly conducted by Sagaing Region Government and the Anti-Corruption Commission was held at the Regional Government Office on Thursday.

 At the meeting, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw said the impacts of briberies on the morale of the people, qualification, delay on the state’s development, hampering public services, development gaps and reducing trust of the people.

The civil servants are like a bridge that is important in building trust between the government and the people. He called for the government employees to be upright and honest, responsible and transparent in carrying out public service activities and to implement a clean government and good governance system.

He also added that by holding educative seminars on anti-corruption, they will improve the knowledge on prevention of corruption and bribery and he called for sharing the knowledge on anti-corruption and participation in the activity.

Later, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission Dr Htaty Aung explained the efforts for combating briberies through online and a video clip on implementation of anti-corruption was shown.

Afterwards, officials explained about Anti-Corruption Law, the nature of corruption and investigative sectors. A total of 279 people from the Regional Government, members of the Region Anti-Corruption Commission and departmental level officials attended the educative seminar.
