Seizure of Drugs and Weapons: Drugs worth over 15.1 billion Kyats, weapons seized

175 Kilos of heroin, 1502 Kilos of ICE, 55 Kilos of Ketamine worth over 15.1 billion Kyats and weapons and ammunitions were seized in Kengtung Township of Shan State (East), according to Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, the combined team comprising anti-narcotic drug task force was waiting near NarkawVillage (3), Kengtung-Mong Sat Road in Kengtung Township in Shan State (East) at Noon on January 22, TOYOTA HILUX REVO vehicle on a tip-off came to the spot and searched the vehicle.

The members of combined force seized 500 heroin blocks, 1502 Kilos of ICE, 55 Kilos of Ketamine worth over 15.1 billion Kyats, one unit of M 16 rifle and 30 of its bullets, one unit of M 22 and 30 of its bullets. The culprits were taken action under the law and the investigation is underway to reveal the chain of offenders, it’s reported.
