Seed Fair: Plans Underway To Be Held In Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is planning to organize “Seed Fair 2022”, and the preparation measures are underway in the Campus of PyinmanaAgricultural Institute in Nay Pyi Taw.

Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi, together with the responsible persons,on Wednesday inspected the preparation measures. The Seed Fair is scheduled to take place during the third week of February, aiming to develop the production of quality seeds and to promote the country’s socio-economy conditionwith the use of quality species in engaging agriculture works.

The Seed Fair will be held under the theme, “Let’s use quality seeds for socio-economic development”. The research farms and Pedigree Farms of the departments under the Ministry will be put on displayed the rice, oil-bearing crops, beans and pulses, vegetables, fruits and seedlings as well as the model plantations and boots from the private sector.

During the exhibition, the arrangements will be made for holding the round-table discussions. Enthusiasts from far and near will get a chance to study the agricultural knowledge.
