




Hailing the 63rd anniversary Peasants’ Day, the Seed Fair 2025 took place at the Institute of Agriculture in Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana on Saturday.
Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung gave an opening speech, urging all stakeholders to make collaborative efforts in seed production process with added momentum, ensuring local sufficiency and exporting the surplus.
Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe also highlighted for development of agricultural products through the formation of cooperative associations. With the aims to provide quality seeds to local farmers, the Seed Fairs have been organized since 2018, and this years marked the 7th edition of the event.
It showcases the various species of seven different crops on 12 acres land plot, along with the displays of 32 booths. The event is set to be held for three days until the 3rd of March, and any enthusiasts can visit free of charge.
