Security for upcoming Cali COP16 in Colombia

Colombia's armed forces and local governments meet to discuss security strategy ahead of a major UN biodiversity summit, after guerrillas fighting the government and rival armed groups sent threats to President Gustavo Petro. The Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity will be held later this year in Cali, the city closest to the territory they control, from October 21 to November 1.
