Security Operation: Tatmadaw seizes insurgent camp near border

Tatmadaw has captured an insurgent camp near the Myanmar–India border while conducting security operations to reopen and secure the strategic Kalay–Tamu trade route. According to the reports, troops advancing from both Kalay and Tamu have regained control of several villages along the route.

During clearance operations near Yan Lin Paing village, the Tatmadaw columns discovered and attacked a fortified insurgent base located near the border. Following a clash, the camp was seized, and the insurgents retreated across the border after suffering casualties.

The Tatmadaw recovered various buildings, vehicles, communication equipment, weapons, ammunition, and other supplies from the camp. Security operations are continuing as forces work to fully reopen and secure the Kalay–Tamu road, an important trade link between Myanmar and India.
