Security Measures: Eight suspects arrested for committing crimes

Eight suspects were arrested for committing mine blasts and murders of administrative officials in the Yangon Region.

The incidents include the murder of Aung San Ward Administrator in Innsein Township on September 26th, the murder of the No. 11 Ward Administrator and his wife in Hlaingthaya (West) Township on December 5th, as well as the mine blasting on Pyapon Street in Sanchaung Township on December 30th, which caused damage to six vehicles, two household generators, and business signboards. The security forces had conducted investigations to arrest the suspects.

On January 1st, a suspect was arrested in Hlaingthaya (West) District, followed by the arrest of his two accomplices on the same day. The interrogation led to the arrest of four suspects in Mingaladon Townships on January 3rd, and another accomplice at Mayangon Township on the 4th, along with the seizure of vehicles, various arms and ammunition and related items for making improvised missiles. The effective action will be taken against the suspects in line with the law.
