Security Measures: Combating online scam and gambling

Security forces in southern Shan State have seized several illegal online scam and gambling operations near Mong Naung town between 24 to 26 November. A total of 26 foreign nationals and 8 Myanmar citizens were arrested. Authorities found many temporary buildings used for online scam and gambling activities, along with computers, Starlink equipment, generators, and other supplies.

On 26 November, more searches uncovered more buildings under construction for scam operations along with guns and ammunition. All seized items and illegal structures were destroyed. Officials said they will take legal action against those involved and will arrange to return foreign nationals to their home countries in coordination with relevant governments.
