






The Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) with the Medical Teams comprised of specialists from Tatmadaw and the Ministry of Health onboard is on the tour to provide medical services to the residents of Rakhine State Coastal region.
On 4th of March, the Tatmadaw Sea-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Thanlwin) arrived at the jetty of ThaByuChaing Village, Kyaukkalatt Village-tract in Thandwe Township and was warmly welcomed by the West Command and Departmental officials and local residents. The mobile medical teams stationed at Aden Cold Storage Factory in ThaByuChaing Village and provided healthcare services to 1303 local residents from the ThaByuChaing and neighboring villages.
The mobile medical team provided medical services to 351 patients, surgical operations for 62 patients, 45 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 66 patients with pediatric diseases, 275 patients with orthopedic diseases, 154 patients with Ear Nose Throat related diseases, 298 patients with eye diseases, 52 patients with dental diseases.
Moreover, the medical team also carried out the general operation for 14 patients and eye operation for 13 patients, took ultrasound scans for 97, 44 patients for ECG and 57 patients for lab tests. And the team made necessary arrangements for 17 patients who need medical services at the hospital to receive medical treatments at the nearest Tatmadaw hospitals.
Such providing medical services were viewed and encouraged by the responsible officials from the West Command, coordinated requirements, it’s learnt.
