Science, Technology and Innovation: Workshop on drafting the Road Map and Strategies

The Ministry of Science and Technology organized a workshop on drafting the Road Map and Strategies for Science, Technology and Innovation to be implemented with Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund for 2022. Union Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw attended the workshop and made an opening speech.

For development of science, technology and innovation, the Road Map and Strategies have been drafted by the collaborative efforts of the 14 related ministries. The workshop sought for approval through participation of the experts involved in the process.

The draft of the Road Map and Strategies include development of science, technology and innovation in ASEAN and current implementation in Myanmar, opportunities and challenges in various sectors including agriculture, livestock, human resource development, research and development, energy, electric vehicles, information and communication technology and environmental conservation. It also includes strategic objectives for 2025-2030, action plans, benefits and goals for six areas.
