







The Science Festival 2025 continued for its third day in Yangon on November 27. The event was organized by Russia’s ROSATOM and Myanmar’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and held at the Nuclear Technology Information Center and Yangon Technological University.
Students took part in a DIY science contest, building the tallest paper tower. A talk titled “Big Journey: North Pole” shared experiences from a Myanmar student who traveled on a nuclear icebreaker ship. Another session, “Pathways to Russia”, allowed Myanmar students studying in Russia to share career insights online.
In the afternoon, a Science Movie screening showed films about green energy batteries, nuclear power development in Egypt, and hydrogen production technology. Experts from both countries answered questions.
At Yangon Technological University, a Hackatom competition also took place, with the participation of about 140 students. Participants worked to create software applications and presentations to be completed within 24 hours.
