School Library: Reading Environ For Students

No.1, Basic Education High School, Lanmadaw has upgraded its school library which is known as Pyinnya Beik Mann.

The Speaker of Yangon Region Parliament attended the ceremony held on Friday, together with the numbers of alumni of the schools.

The ceremony also included the talk show of the well-known writers who are once the retired teacher and alumni of the school to welcome the Sarsodaw Day of Myanmar Calendar.

Alumnus, Thant Zaw Oo said “In upgrading, we help maintain the old books of the library and add more of new modern books and technological books so that the students can get in touch with books more and more. And we aim to upgrade till not only this school, but also from the other school can come use this library in the future.”

Public Librarians Support Group contributed 4,000 books at the event where students and children from the nearby place can take a book they like by changing with the coupon that they’ve been given.

Student, Grade-11, Zwe Yee Lin said “We can pick a book we like in exchange with this coupon. I took a book of collective novel. It’s awesome that our library is upgraded. We can spend our free time in the library.”

The 29 publishing houses displayed their books with the 10% discount at the ceremony and the magic show of the school alumnus is due in the noon.
