School library development: Taninthayi Region CM attended the festival

Under the Administration of Taninthayi Region Government, Co-Organized by Information and Public Relations Department and Education Department, school library development and raising reading habit festival was held at No (3) Basic Education High School in Dawei Township in the morning on 22nd August.

First, Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Chief Justice of Region High Court, Region Minister for Social Affairs, Directors and Region Information and Public Relations Department and Education Department opened the festival by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Next, the Chief Minister viewed the dances of students and awarded the prize of cash.

Then, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of Region High Court and Region Ministers toured around the photo exhibition section, contests of debate, High school and middle school level impromptu talk, story-gelling, reciting poem, essay writing, fun fairs such as coloring, correct spelling pick etc. and book stalls and cordially greeted the students and presented copy books.

After that, Chief Minister and officials viewed the school library opened with the purposes for facilitating teaching and learning, admiration of national culture by the students and strengthening patriotic spirit.
